I am more.

There's only one person behind the scenes of BMJ, and that's me. I do it all while navigating life in my own lane--challenging myself to continue accelerating and discovering more ways that I am inspired to create. As a natural creative, I use my ability to tap into what really matters most by bringing visions and desires to life in real life.

  • Linnie Pearl Martin

My grandma started this chain reaction that has continued through three generations. I remember before she passed, she had clothes in several houses and had no less than 3 closets of her own. I always admired her ability to accessorize her style with jewelry and especially my favorite accessory to see her wear was pearls. The use of pearls in my creative designs is all in memory of her.

  • Beverly Ann Williams

My mother is a seamstress! She can create fashion from scratch and tailor it to fit her needs. Guess what? She doesn't even need a pattern most times. As a kid, I remember adoring how she would wear certain fashion choices. I still have her tailor or make some of my clothes. One thing for sure, she always has fashion options. In 3 closets, of course.

  • Robert Duane Williams

In 2009, my dad challenged me to find the one thing that I was good at and could enjoy. It was also his suggestion to use it to repurpose emotions that I may encounter. His challenge touched the surface of what encompassed what I was already in search of. He passed 8 years later and 6 months after his passing, I had a strong desire to create custom shirts for my twin daughters and myself. I bought my first crafting machine and made our first customs shirts. That spontaneous moment unraveled the beginning of what BMJ is today and steadily becoming.

  • DeVetta Raquel Williams

My mom and I vividly remember how hard it was for her to shop for me as a kid. Years later she figured out to pick out the most unique thing in the store and I loved it every time. I always knew I was different in many ways, and I've always been creative. It wasn't until 2019 that I realized that I felt most comfortable wearing things I created. How many closets of clothes do I have? 3, of course.
